Well, It’s a Free Country.
Here’s what I don’t understand about people:
Why do they go on sites like Youtube and PerezHilton and LOOK for things that will make them angry? I’m sick of seeing comments about how everything is “fucking gay”, and how awful and disgusting every celebrity is all over these social media sites. If you have a problem, talk about it in your own personal medium. It seems useless to me that on a YouTube video of someone like Susan Boyle, there people consistently calling her ugly and completely talentless. Luckily, I think YouTube tries to control the amount of negative comments that are posted (which some complain is violating the First Amendment, but people are so ready to “defend their rights” that they don’t stop and think about why that could be hurtful) but I don’t understand this: If people hate something so much, why do they go out of their way to watch a full video and THEN comment on it just to express their hatred?!
Granted, on a site like PerezHilton, it could be argued that Perez is so negative to begin with that people have a right to serve it back to him. There is an element of truth here, but I don’t understand what the motive is for someone who hates everything Perez does to go on his blog and TELL him. A) He’s not going to read it so what are you trying to do? and B) If you hate is so fucking much, WHY DO YOU WASTE YOUR TIME ON THE SITE? Obviously, Perez has become popular somehow, meaning that people read his shit. You think your little comment is going to keep them from doing so? Wrong-O.
It’s just…annoying that people can’t find better uses for their time than to virtually cuss out every celebrity or scandal or event that they dislike. Yet, here I am…blogging about my hatred. /sigh. At least mine sounds more eloquent than someone going, “FuCK yOu, JuStiN BieBEr! YoU sUcK!”
